Pastor McCarty (Pastor MAC) has spoken at conferences and revivals in the United States as well as internationally. He is an Ordained Bishop with the Church of God, Cleveland Tennessee, He holds a master’s level Certification in Local / Municipal Governance Supervisor through VA Tech and the Cooperative Extension of Virginia. He holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling, specializing in Addiction, Trauma, and Addiction, and is currently pursuing a D.Min of Clinical Pastoral Education (Doctorate of Ministry). He holds multiple certifications in Leadership Development, Behavioral Analyses, Personality Profiling, Business Management, Community Services Chaplaincy, Law Enforcement / First Responder Chaplaincy, Hospice, and Hospital Chaplaincy, Advanced Community Chaplaincy specializing in addiction and trauma-related incidents as well as Crisis Intervention with Trauma Counseling. He is also a certified marriage counselor through Prepare / Enrich. Pastor MAC is currently serving his second elected term (4 years each) on the Board of Supervisors for Isle of Wight County VA for District 2. He serves on numerous State and Regional level boards and commissions as a member and leader through his elected capacity. He also serves as an elected member of the Virginia Church of God State Council and has served in other capacities within the VA Church of God including the State Youth and Discipleship Board, State Ministries Board, and World Missions Board.
