Dean serves on the Church Council and as "Commander Dean" in the Royal Rangers. He leads the hospitality ministry with his wife Tina. They have been attending HWWC since February 2012. They have lived in Isle of Wight county since 2012 and before that lived in Newport News. They have been married since 1986 and have two grown children, Derek and Megan, with a total of three grandchildren
Dean was first saved when he was nine years old. His mother and grandmother were very active at Temple Baptist Church in Newport News and that is where he started going to church and where he was first saved. Their first visit to HWWC was just by chance. Their daughter was dating her future husband, Justin, whose family was very active at HWWC. Megan had signed up to be baptized, so Dean & Tina were able to witness their daughter getting baptized along with Justin. They both had a sense of love as they walked into the building of HWWC and it was unlike anything they had ever felt before and they have never left. HWWC is their home and their brothers and sisters in Christ are their true extended family. Within the first year of becoming partners at HWWC, their family rededicated their lives through water baptism.
