David is a Newport News native with a long history of service in the church. He spent his childhood in the AV booth and playing guitar at a small church named Gospel Tabernacle in Newport News. After he married his wife Shannon in 2004, they began an apprenticeship in ministry under Rev. Isaac Addington, a local pastor and longtime mentor in the faith. In 2006, they packed up and moved back to New York so that he could finish his degree in Computer Science and begin his career in Information Technology. They reconnected with their home church, Grace Fellowship, in Latham and began teaching children on Saturday nights. After years of teaching and building a family, they felt the call to return home to Virginia. Here at Healing Waters Worship Center, David serves on the Worship Team, Nursery Team, and on the Council. He and his wife Shannon currently oversee the Jump-IN communications, Overflow missions, Manna food distribution, Discipleship Bible study, and Young Adults ministries. They reside in Smithfield and have four children; Ana, Liam, Lillian, and Carolyn.
“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.”
