"He’s in the room..."
The words above are a part of a song I’ve had on repeat all week long. When listening to a song, especially when you’re busy with day-to-day things, you aren’t really listening. You hear the melody and you may even sing or hum the tune. However, that doesn’t mean you’re retaining or thinking about its meaning or the words being sung. This week I’ve been LISTENING. God sent me this song to remind me that He is there. Wherever I am, He is there. When I’m lying awake at night and my thoughts go a mile a minute. He’s in the room to calm my mind. When I’m at work where things don’t go my way and I become frustrated, He's there. He’s in the room to help me practice patience and give me peace. When I get disappointed by life or the outcome of a situation, He’s in the room there to give me endurance and His strength to get to what He has for me. When I feel pain and feel all alone, He’s in the room to comfort me and to tell me He never left. He was there, is there, and always will be there. If I found comfort this week in this I know that someone else needs to hear this too. When things feel bleak and hopeless, find hope in KNOWING our faithful Father is there with you always. You just have to acknowledge His presence.
”The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” -Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV
