We’re officially in February. Unfortunately, your subscription for 2024 cannot be refunded or exchanged. I personally can say, 2024 started off a bit crazy, and it never seemed to end. It seemed as though I couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.
It is so easy to get caught up in the rain, wind, etc. of the storm and lose focus on what we really should be focusing on. God did not create us to handle our battles alone – he created us to serve him and ask for his guidance. Sometimes when we get caught up in our own mess, we forget that. Psalms 46:1-3 (AMP) says, “God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], A very present and well-proved help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change. And though the mountains be shaken and slip into the heart of the seas, 3 Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains tremble at its roaring.” Yes, we have our struggles in life, but it should not take our eyes away from what is important. As it says in Psalms 46 – God is to be our strength. If we take a moment to step away from all the chaos around us, and the storm we are dealing with then we [as a church] can realize God has it all worked out – he got there first.
As the song says, “he’s got the whole world in his hands.” God truly has every single situation we deal with in his hands. It's February, it’s time to catch our breath and try again. I encourage you to do one thing this year – surround yourself with those who will hold you accountable and encourage you when life doesn’t always go the way you want or you fall off the wagon of following Christ the way you should.
